[You all descend down a large elevator - at least, those who are alive. It's a huge, non-descript elevator with no music to make it any less creepy. At the bottom floor, which it automatically descends to once everyone is inside, there's a large circle of podiums with placards of photos - photos of them: Jonah, Pidge, Missy, Lev, Janssen, Maria, Nemo, Jakub, Saira, Alex, Aurelia, Bri, Prudence, and Geoffrey. Tony and Jack's portraits, while there, are scratched out with red ink. Sitting atop a small platform is Yuri, lounged out casually in a large chair. ]

Come in, come in! Find your spots and we'll begin the trial!

[Eventually it seems everyone is settled in their spots, and Yuri sits back in his chair, steeping his fingers.]

So, the gist that you have to accuse someone of being the culprit in this case! You do this by voting. Democracy is the wave of the future, after all! The time limit is until I'm bored! And if the gathered votes are wrong, you all die, alright?

...Oh, and by the way, you dumbasses, there is a murderer amongst you. I'll show you the video once you've voted.

[He motions at them, smiling.]

So, let's begin! Who's got a theory?

Well if he died because of Yuri, that makes him guilty!

Th-that's right!

[casts a brief confused look over at Yuri, then frowns]

But, ah...

He said to him that he was breaking a rule - remember, it's forbidden to attack the headmaster, right? And he wanted to attack him...

But it's still not okay if he dies because of that! Right? Only we students are meant to kill each other, isn't that true?

[crosses his arms]

Shit, that's true... So then we aren't in trial for him? Only... [gestures to Tony's portrait]

I don't know.

[thinks]

...

If someone had killed him while he was fainted, do you think there would have been another announcement? Also he was in the middle of the corridor, where Tony was, everybody would have seen..!

I-- I'll ask Yuri.

[kind of waits for a small gesture of support; Yuri is fearsome]

Ah, er...

[nods]

[takes a small breath, turns to Yuri and raises his hand as if he was at school (or in a dorky office meeting)]

Excuse me!

Did he-- [pointing to Jack's portrait]-- die because you made him faint? Did you want that to happen? Is it-- it it a normal punishment for trying to attack you?

Or was it an accident? Did you want him to wake up again? Nobody else killed him while he was blacked out, right?

Or is he only crossed out because he is not awake to be here?

[gaining a tiny little bit of hope]

Huh? Are you talking to me?

[He nods, regardless.]

Yup, he's dead! He tried to hurt me, so I had to kill him. I warned you guys! And him, you know, but he didn't listen. Anyway, he'll be dead in a few hours. Probably by the time this trial is over! So I crossed him out.

[horrified]

But--!

Can we-- can we plead for him? Why is he dying slowly, did you poison him? Can't you stop it?

[despite his usual unblinking stare he is clearly frightened to the bone]

[what the hell did you do to the guy, and how]

No! He broke the rules! I told you there would be violent repercussions if you did! I bolded it and everything!

[He clasps his hands.]

This is getting boring! Choose a culprit, this isn't about that jerk!

[opens his mouth to say something, but thinks better of it and forces himself to look down at the ground, too daunted to argue any more]

[hopefully someone else will speak up with something relevant to Tony's case - he sure as hell doesn't know who that culprit is]
