[You all descend down a large elevator - at least, those who are alive. It's a huge, non-descript elevator with no music to make it any less creepy. At the bottom floor, which it automatically descends to once everyone is inside, there's a large circle of podiums with placards of photos - photos of them: Jonah, Pidge, Missy, Lev, Janssen, Maria, Nemo, Jakub, Saira, Alex, Aurelia, Bri, Prudence, and Geoffrey. Tony and Jack's portraits, while there, are scratched out with red ink. Sitting atop a small platform is Yuri, lounged out casually in a large chair. ]

Come in, come in! Find your spots and we'll begin the trial!

[Eventually it seems everyone is settled in their spots, and Yuri sits back in his chair, steeping his fingers.]

So, the gist that you have to accuse someone of being the culprit in this case! You do this by voting. Democracy is the wave of the future, after all! The time limit is until I'm bored! And if the gathered votes are wrong, you all die, alright?

...Oh, and by the way, you dumbasses, there is a murderer amongst you. I'll show you the video once you've voted.

[He motions at them, smiling.]

Yeah but- [He hasn't worked up the courage to go. His stomach grumbles as if on queue.]

Jesus Christ, what is wrong with you people? Do I have to tie you down to a chair and force feed you mashed potatoes?

I don't want you to tie me anywhere!

[Potatoes would be nice. He frowns.]

It's just been crazy, okay? And I sort of lost my appetite.

/incredulously side-eyeing you, mister

How can you lose your appetite? You have to eat, and god I want mashed potatoes now, um. What was I gonna say?

--Right, you better eat after this trial is over or so help me I will find you and make you eat.

All right, all right! I'll eat after this if we're still alive. [When he realizes he said that he gulps a little. Now he's not hungry anymore.]

"If" we're still alive--come on, have you never heard of positive thinking?

It's hard to look on the bright side when we discovered one of us on the ground dead.

Well, there's not anything we can do about it now, except find out which of us did it. This might just be an isolated incident, after all.

I doubt it, we're here to kill each other for his amusement. Haven't you been listening?

[Ugh. This woman is dense. He shakes his head.]

Who are you voting for?

Well, I don't know. I plan to listen to all the evidence and theories and draw whichever conclusion is the most logical. I don't know all of you that well, so how am I to know any other way?

[And yet she says something like that. He sighs.]

We have to decide soon. I feel like there's so much missing.

Well... didn't she get stabbed by those tiny little scissors? Kinda seems weird, since, you know, scissors that small couldn't possibly cause that much blood to come out, yes?

If an artery was hit, they could.

[He frowns, thinking of the logistics, and tries to remember where, exactly, she was stabbed.]

Ummm, but she was hit in the chest, right? Or was it in the back? I mean, I can't really remember, I slept a lot since then. But it's kind of unusual, all the same, yeah?

The back.

[He thinks back to his anatomy lessons.]

I... don't remember the important parts there.

[Pause.]

It means she didn't see the suspect coming.

That still doesn't make much sense, though, right? I mean, if the scissors weren't long enough to reach the heart....
