Uh?

[he was just on his way to the cafeteria for an extremely late breakfast, freshly showered and dressed in clean, unbloody clothes]

Wh-what is the matter?

[She holds up the photograph. Hers happens to be of a punk-ish looking guy.]

Didja get one of these too?

[blinks, then nods hesitantly]

I-- I think all of us got one.

[his stomach growls]

Huh. Really? That's...pretty sketch. You th-think the creeper in charge here would actually know where they are--

Somebody's hungry! I-I'm kinda lookin' for a cookin' too. Want me to go with you? [She's still not budging from that door as long as he doesn't say so, though.]

[nods again]

Yes, if you'd like to.

[waits for her to come out and lock her room]

I-- I also don't know how he knows who everybody likes most... I mean, if everybody had his or her parents on the photo, maybe, but...

[that definitely wouldn't have startled him half as much]

Is the boy your brother?

Y-yeah! That's weird! I mean...I totally didn't tell anyone about this!

[She gets out and closes the door a bit hesitantly, not sure if she could trust him. But the cafeteria isn't too far away, and she could always scream, right?]

And--[she giggles] No, he's not my brother! More like a friend, really.

A friend... I understand.

[hesitantly starts walking as he realises that she's waiting for him to lead the way]

[steers right into the kitchen/pantry and collects bread and several kinds of spreads and cold meats, then sits down at one of the many empty tables in the cafeteria]

It's so late... e-everybody else ate already, I believe?

[She brightens up a little.] You do? So you gotta "friend"-friend, too? Hey, wait up!

[She'll follow, but she'll leave the cafeteria doors wiiiiiide open.]

Or I guess...m-maybe they...got the picture, too.

Yes...

Um, do you think...

[no, he can't ask that]

[but now he remembers that she got upset before when he started a sentence and didn't finish it, so--]

Do-- do you think that somebody is probably thinking about... killing again?

[doesn't meet her eyes and concentrates on buttering his bread]

I-I don't know.

But I think Creeper Dude is-is tryna make us again! I mean...we all wanna go home, right? I-I just, I felt so homesick looking at his picture again and...what if someone feels like they have to kill?

M-Man, this is so...sooooo...whack!

[doesn't want to ask, so he just assumes it to mean something along the lines of "bad and wrong"]

...

I don't feel good. I don't want to kill somebody, but I also don't want him t-to hurt...

To hurt the, um, people on our photos. Do you think he really can do that? Or is he lying? I would like to think that it's only a lie, but if he can kill people just like this...

[makes a small hand motion like Yuri and Roma did to kill their two classemates]

It's very, um, what is the word... very depressing?

[takes two huge bites out of his bread]

It's whack!

[She sighs, and twiddles her thumbs.] Still, I also wanna know how he knew, you know? I-I mean! I never told anyone about...yyeeeaaah.

Hm-m...

[wonders the same, but decides to concentrate on eating for the moment, devouring four whole grain sandwiches, two bananas and two small bottles of vanilla milk]

[he's at a loss how to even spend the day - that three of their classmates have died seems even more surreal now than it seemed the day before]

[She doesn't have any more else to say about it; the situation seems a bit more somber. Still, she's going to eat her breakfast and just...worriedly gaze at how much you're eating.]

[sighs and rubs his forehead, lost in thoughts of his own]

[as she finishes eating he stands up]

I will go and... find something to do. It is not good to keep thinking about this. I feel worse and worse.

Wait! I'll come back with you. Are you-you down with that? This places just gives me the super creeps alone...s-so um. If that's cool with your business, th-that's cool and all.

Ah...

[didn't expect that]

If you will not be bored..? I just, um... I just want to look for things I can burn.

R-radical! I mean. I do like burning stuff. I've done it before, you know!

[has collected his part of the breakfast utensils by now]

Yes? It would be unpolite to leave them dirty for the others, wouldn't it?

[wanders over into the kitchen and starts filling up the sink]

B-but! Dude! I-um. How....?

[Congrats, she's on your level of socialization now as she just....stares at the dishes.]
